Final Cut Studio 2 upgrade arrives early

Perhaps I’m just lucky but amid reports of delays, my upgrade to Final Cut Studio 2 arrived 17 days earlier than scheduled. Here’s what’s in the box.

There have been some reports of customers getting delayed shipping notices and my FCS1>FCS2 upgrade was ordered on the 4th and originally due to ship on May 31st. Out of the blue, I got an email confirmation that it shipped yesterday so I guess I’m lucky!

Apple today announced Final Cut Studio 2 at the Venetian Ballroom to an enthusiastic crowd of around 3000 people. The package now includes Color (standalone CC app, previously sold as FinalTouch by Silicon Color) and is joined by a new addition to the family in the shape of Final Cut Server (asset management app, previously sold as Artbox by Proximity).
