Hi,

How do I display the total duration of some clips in a bin? In Media Composer I would highlight the clips and hit Command-I. I am probably overlooking something really simple, but I haven't been able to find an equivalent in FCP.

I don't think so, but I, too, would love to know if there is. I usually clear ins/outs, select all and drag & drop to a blank sequence when I need to know.

A sneaky way (probably won't be reliable with dual system sound footage):

- Select the bin
- Choose File > Media Manager
- Hover the mouse over the green "original" bar at the top
- The media duration will be shown underneath (and it usefully ignores the in/out points set on the clips).

My 'clever' trick is to select the clips and then select batch capture. A window will pop up showing you the total time of the clips you have selected.
