Tuesday Tips: Add Edit

Most people are familiar with the Blade tool for splitting up clips which is fine but you have to use the mouse so it won’t work while playing a sequence! Another way to split a clip is with the Add Edit command.

Pressing Control-V will make a cut at the playhead through all auto-selected tracks. If you’re playing the sequence, then you’ll see red markers appear on the timeline ruler at the cut points and the markers are converted to cuts when you stop playback.
