Tuesday Tips: Counting Clips

Here’s an easy way to count the number of audio or video clips in a sequence:

1. Create a new bin.
2. Select all the audio or video clips in the sequence and drag them to the bin.
3. Select the bin and choose File > Export > XML (Ensuring that “include master clips outside selection” is deselected).

XML Export

4. The number of clips in the bin is displayed at the top of the XML Export window.
5. Press Cancel and delete the bin.

easier is to just put all the clips in a bin double click bin and choose show as thumb nail and it will tell you right on top of that bin how many items
